What does voluntary English teaching in China have for me?
True, volunteer teaching is not a paying job and so it might create numerous doubts in anyone’s mind as to whether it’s really worth the time and effort. Before you decide to be a volunteer teacher in China, let’s look at some of its perks.

·         No long-term commitment needed. One of the roadblocks to working in a foreign country is the inability on our part to make a long-term commitment to a project, either due to visa restrictions or due to the ambiguity about our duration of stay in the country. In such a scenario, volunteer teaching is simple and hassle-free. Even though it’s usually meant to last from 5 to 20 weeks, you do have the freedom to work for as long or as little as you want, provided you keep up to your promised commitment.
